Hello and welcome! My name is Alex Kenderdine, and I am a survivor of the Independent Fundamental Baptist cult. My pronouns are she/her or they/them.
This blog will be centered around my experiences growing up as a missionary/ pastor's child inside a Christian fundamentalist cult. It will also cover what it has been like to leave and tackle all the messiness that is deconstruction. Of course, I also will share the beauty that is involved in the whole process because there are plenty of wonderful parts worth celebrating.
The ultimate goal is to raise awareness around the Independent Fundamental Baptist cult and educate people on the dangers within their churches. My hope is that it will also help other survivors know that they are not alone in this journey.
